Position Summary:

This is an entry level position to learn to perform maintenance, overhaul and repair operations on assigned accessories using appropriate testing as required.  No previous experience is necessary - on the job training will be provided and promotion to level 2 typically within 6 months to one year.  Work is performed in an air conditioned manufacturing building.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, adjustment, and/or certify/test of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions and FAA regulation.
  • Tear down, clean parts and assemblies, as required.
  • Prepare documentation, including service reports and test data
  • Operate test equipment as required by the OEM maintenance manuals and other work instructions
  • Paint parts
  • Perform minor repairs operations to piece parts
  • Other duties may be assigned


  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or technical school certification is electronics, aviation mechanics or automotive mechanics preferred
  • Some mechanical experience involving similar equipment, processes, measuring tools and assembly operations desired by not required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, mechanical drawings, standard gauges and other measuring devices (either currently or able to learn)
  • Ability write routine reports and correspondence
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
