Identifies raw material, component, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules. In front end procurement mode, analyzes data and determines factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.


  • Analyze current products for possible cost savings.
  • Responsible for meeting annual department savings goals.
  • Implement product changes and/or products through appropriate distribution channels
  • Work as a team member with the flexibility to take on special projects as assigned that are not in normal daily activities.
  • Develop reliable alternate sources of supply to promote a competitive atmosphere.
  • Develop good supplier relationships.
  • Implement monthly/yearly price changes to keep costs up to date.
  • Respond to product quality issues and field related problems as necessary. Assist internal/external customers and respond to their inquiries.
  • Assist in solving product challenges and assist in vendor certification.
  • Work with internal customers and vendor partners to assist in product development specification.


  • Bachelor's Degree or 5 plus years' experience with relevant knowledge of the MRO and Aerospace industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and ERP systems.
  • Able to communicate verbally and written to all levels of management internally and externally.
  • Ability to translate costs associated with service bulletins, modifications and internal costs to establish pricing rationale
