Supervisor, Operations Welding

Responsibilities

With direct supervision, responsible for supervising welding and coordinating the activities of multiple departments such as Clean Line, Core Stacking, Welding, Brazing, Leak Test, and Heat Treat department employees on first (1st) shift.  Responsible for assuring that product is welded/brazed per AWS specification required, every time, all the time. Maintain workforce safety, production effectiveness, production delivery schedules, quality of workmanship, etc. 

Responsible to transfer information to the following shift to achieve the production requirements of the respective departments.

Qualifications

  • 5+ year Welding Supervisor experience utilizing TIG welding aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel, non-destructive testing, and/or Brazing processes. Prefer heat treatment (age, quench, vacuum) experience.
  • 3+ year hands-on Welder experience
  • AWS CWI, CWS or CWE preferred
  • Prefer BS Welding Engineering Technology or equivalent; combination of certification, education, and working experience will be considered.
