Triumph Integrated Systems - Electronics and Controls, located in Forest, Ohio, is a leading independent aerospace supplier of mission critical thermal and fluid management products for commercial and military platforms. The company provides solutions utilized on aircraft, engine, advance weapons pods, cruise missiles, avionics & electronic systems.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality/inspection standards and evaluation methods for products and processes.  Establishes quality systems and procedures, inspection plans, quality performance trends, statistical plans, cost estimates, and quality plans.  Ensures that project and/or process control documentation is compliant with requirements and/or contract.
  • Assesses quality performance (or cost-of-quality) using statistical and analytical methods. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, reliability, and accuracy of products, processes, and production equipment.  Provide technical expertise relative to CMM utilization.
  • Coordinates and guides technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure division quality objectives are achieved.  Assumes direct responsibility for monitoring, coordinating and providing oversight of Tool & Gauge (Layout) room activity.  
  • Plans, prepares, and monitors work progress, evaluates time standards and recommends corrective action throughout the assigned work area.  Coordinates the availability of manpower, materials and machinery required to meet delivery due dates.  Provides statistical information for quality improvements by determining and applying testing methods and criteria. 
  • Provides guidance toward solving work related problems and the application of acceptable performance and quality standards.  Establishes and maintains effective controls to assure accuracy and timely completion of assigned work projects. 
  • Trains and develops employees and evaluates work performance.  Recommends personnel action and applies performance management/ leadership techniques to assure positive employee relations.  Explains and supports company policies and procedures.  Complies with applicable negotiated labor agreements.
  • Establishes and maintains effective control to assure proper use in the operation of machinery, tools, and other company equipment when required.  Ensures area is maintained in a clean, orderly and safe condition.  Monitors, reports and resolves unsafe conditions.
  • Leads and motivates employees toward participation in product improvement and cycle time reduction programs.  Conducts effective department meetings on a regular basis.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field. 
  • Three or more years of related experience
  • Effective supervisory / leadership skills are required.
  • Pursuant to International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”), applicants for SELECT positions will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residence, or U.S. Immigration Status in order to meet the minimum qualifications for those select positions.   • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.   

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Fundamental knowledge of lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques.  General knowledge of aerospace industry or similar industry products and system requirements.  Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to field. 
  • Ability to use standard business application software and/or specialized data analysis tools.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.   Must demonstrate ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player
  • Mechanical aptitude to assist in problem solving process related issues
  • Each supervisor is on a rotational support for weekend coverage
