Responsibilities

 

Job Description: 
The Sr. HR Business Partner, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Human Resources, will be responsible for implementing and managing the necessary human resources strategy to meet the business objectives of the Company. Included are recruiting, organizational development, employee relations, salary administration, performance management, rewards & remuneration, succession planning, training & development, AAP and EEO related programs, benefits planning and administration, employee relations, safety, and workers’ compensation. 


Responsibilities:
* Support the site Human Resources department/function in deploying HR policies, programs and initiatives including but not limited to employment, compensation, employee relations, training, talent acquisition and development, work practices and employee selection to improve the site’s organization capability.
* Conduct investigations on employee relations matters.
* Support daily employee related activities and processes to promote positive employee relations.
* Conduct recruiting process including interviews and selection, insuring compliance with all regulatory; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career pathing program, writes and places advertisements. 
* Provide assistance and administrative support in the areas of employment processing and recruiting requisition processing and ensure integrity in all HR systems with timely and accurate data entry and frequent audits.
* Conduct general or specific training sessions where needed based (i.e. Merit Planning, etc.)
* Provide counsel and support to resolve interpersonal conflicts and employee relations issues.
* Work with supervisors/managers on effective handling of retention, performance management, and engagement strategies.
* Supports compensation program; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary. 
* Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations. 
* Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. 
* Represents the company for any unemployment claims. 
* Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
* Maintains employee personnel and benefit files. 
* Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
* Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
* The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense to the receiver--understanding the audience.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications: 
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
* 6-9 years with BA (Human Resources preferred)
* 4-7 years with MBA (Human Resources preferred)
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship on a permanent basis. 
* Understanding of local labor considerations, collective bargaining agreements
* Knowledge of HR/people systems (prefer SuccessFactors)
* Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with a diverse range of people in a fair and consistent manner
* Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
* Strong problem-solving skills; ability to manage ambiguity with an open mind and positive attitude
* Evidence of sound judgment, professionalism, maturity and trustworthiness
* Ability to navigate the life cycle of events for colleagues, employee relations
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Strong Microsoft Office Suite
