Quality Systems Lead

Quality Systems Lead

 

Reporting to:    Quality Director
Location:    Deeside

 

Responsible for:    

Maintaining and improving the AS9100 and UK CAA Part 21G compliant Quality Systems across the UK and IOM functions. 
To maintain an effective customer returns process and improve the process as required.

 

Qualifications/Experience

Essential:

•    Minimum of three years’ experience in Aerospace Quality.
•    Lead Auditor trained to AS9100 Rev D standard.
•    Trained and aware of Airworthiness Standards (CAA Part 21G) and associated responsibilities.
•    Good communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise with all levels verbally and in writing.
•    Appropriate product quality experience.
•    Willingness to travel if required.

Outline of Job Requirements

•    Maintaining and improving the Quality Systems across the UK and IOM business units to AS9100 Rev D (all sites) and Part 21G (Deeside Hydraulics only) standards.
o    Create, update and release procedures in accordance with departmental requirements and regulatory standards.
o    Act as Management focal for regulatory responsibilities within the business, participating and leading Manual and Exposition reviews.
•    Monitor and implement change notifications from Airworthiness Authorities.
•    Create, maintain and co-ordinate internal audit programmes including the raising, closure and validation of any findings.
•    Undertake audits to internal audit programmes.
•    Participate and act as a Quality focal in third party audits for regulatory authorities and customers, including accepting, closure and validation of any findings.
•    Plan, lead and execute Quality Investigations using appropriate Quality tools (8D, FMEA, etc.) and other techniques to effectively analyse problem root causes and prevent recurrence.
•    Act as the focal for customer returns process.
•    Define, develop and manage Quality Plans, as required.
•    Provide direct support to the Quality Director, as required. 
•    Completion of any work-related tasks, which would be deemed reasonable for this role.
