Job Summary: 

Reporting to the site director of commercial and contracts, the Pricing & Proposal Manager plays a key role in achieving TRIUMPH’s growth plans representing TRIUMPH as a customer facing member of the capture team. This role’s mission is to lead and execute on all customer requests for quotation in our momentum business.

In addition to having demonstrated experience in the area’s defined herein, this role requires a high level of integrity, strong multi-tasking & organizational skills, follow through on commitments, and an ability to build relationships across the organization as well as a diverse customer base.

 

Major Accountabilities: 

  1. Embedded member of the inside sales team, collaborating with Business Development and P&L leaders to formulate winning strategies for new development programs.
  2. Leads momentum business quotes with primary responsibility over strategy, commercial, and contractual aspects.
  3. Manage site proposal staff in accordance with organizations policies to include planning, assigning, monitoring work, appraising performance, and guiding professional development.
  4. Coordinates with Finance and Supply Chain organizations to establish a robust and compliant cost basis as the cornerstone of all business cases.
  5. Responsible for the Contract Review and Flow Down process to ensure terms are aligned with company expectations prior to acceptance.
  6. Ensures US Government RFQ responses are provided compliant to all applicable FAR/DFAR provisions
  7. Accountable for all customer negotiations through contract award
  8. Supports US Government and/or customer audits.
  9. Supports the Program Management Office with a comprehensive contracts launch ensuring TRIUMPH’s rights are known, enforced, and protected.
  10. Leads annual pricing reviews to maximize sales and achieve TRIUMPH growth plans
  11. Provides support and guidance in interpreting customer contracts when requested.
  12. Releases routine contract letters and supports other formal letters as needed.
  13. Prepares documents and analyzes data using combination of ERP analytics and Microsoft Office software.
  14. Reviews NDAs, coordinates with corporate legal department to execute.
  15. Follows policies & procedures aligned w/Contracts Playbook & company delegations
  16. Participates in High Performance Teams representing the Contracts function when applicable.
  17. Fosters positive relationships with internal and external customers.
  18. Other duties as assigned.

 

Essential Functions and /or Physical Limitations: 

This working manager position requires demonstrated success leading multi-faceted proposals and multi-year quotes as well as in-depth knowledge of commercial contracts, DoD acquisitions, & financial concepts. MS Excel and general mathematical ability are essential along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Occasional travel may also be required

Work requires the ability to understand and follow instructions in English; to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; and to work effectively as part of a team.   Work may also require bending, carrying, and lifting up to 10 pounds.

 

Minimum Education Required: College Degree in Business Management and/or Engineering Management required. Master’s in business administration a plus.

Minimum Experience Required:  15+ years business development, proposal management, contracts, program management, or related experience in an aerospace with familiarity of FAR 12/15 is required. Expert knowledge in government contracting a plus.
