The Technician works under the direction of Engineering Lab management, a senior technician, or design engineers as required, to provide testing services in support of the product development and qualification process. Typical tasks include; assembly of hydraulic components, testing of hydraulic components, construction of test circuits, fabrication of fixtures, instrumentation set up, data acquisition/analysis, developing special assembly/testing techniques, trouble shooting activities, etc and documentation of test results.


1. Assemble and test hydraulic components (using instructions provided) as directed.
2. Construct test circuits (use written instructions and/or diagrams/drawings) as directed.
3. Setup instrumentation and collect data as needed.
4. Document test results per Test Procedures. Engineering procedures, or written instructions.
5. Work with Engineers or Lab management to investigate performance/design issues, analyze data, and troubleshoot assembly/test processes uncovered during component testing.


Physical Limitations: Work may require lifting of components weighing up to 50 lbs. Approximately 4-6 hours/day will be spent in active work, 2-4 hours/day sedentary work. Knowledge of office computing, laboratory computing, and knowledge of mathematical and scientific concepts are required. Limited travel required. Flexible work hours may be required.

Minimum Education Required: Position requires associate’s degree in manufacturing technology or engineering field (preferred) and/or equivalent experience.

Minimum Experience Required: One to three years experience in the assembly, testing, or maintenance of hydraulic equipment or components (Aerospace experience preferred).
