Responsibilities:
Summary:
Responsible for developing and managing the production plan and executing the Master Production Schedule to meet Customer Delivery Requirements.

Essential Functions:
•    Utilizes the ERP system to create and manage production schedules and material demand requirements to execute a controlled flow of materials and labor timed to meet production requirements and customer delivery schedules.
•    Monitors and communicates the timely status of work in progress, materials and equipment issues to the appropriate departments.
•    Responsible for monitoring and reporting material shortages to Procurement and the Production floor.  Requests updated delivery dates for shortages through Procurement and Manufacturing when they impact ship dates to our customers.
•    Ensures that production priorities are met.  If ship dates cannot be met, determine the next ship date and communicate the information to the Program Manager / Contract Administrator and other relevant departments.
•    Assist in creating and managing the Production schedule for the Machine Centers and Assembly.
•    Interacts with Quality, Materials, Manufacturing, Shipping and Assembly to ensure deliveries are met.
•    Maintains current production status by developing and maintaining Production tracking reports.
•    Utilizes capacity data to ensure proactive decisions are made to minimize or eliminate disruptions to the schedule.
•    Supports timely introduction of new products and processes through proper scheduling.
•    Works closely with and backs up the Master Scheduler on daily/weekly/monthly production priorities.
•    Assist in the development and management of the Forecast and Flash reports.
•    Keeps an open line of communication with the Planning group, Assembly Leads, Production Managers and Expeditors daily.
•    Works with Master Scheduler and ME’s on any Bill of Material or Operation Sheet issues.
•    Updates internal job work orders that pertain to ECN changes.
•    Assist in training the Jr. Schedulers in the department.
•    Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive outlook.
•    Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements.
•    Other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met.

Qualifications

Required education, certification, and experience:
•    Associate's degree in a Business, Operations, or similar discipline or the equivalent experience.
•    Up to three (3) years in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace and in a production planning or similar capacity.

Preferred education, certification, and experience:
•    4-year degree in Business or related field.
•    Eight (8) years of  experiences in a business environment working in planning, preferably Aerospace or Machining.
•    Prior experience in Materials Management, Scheduling and Procurement a plus.

Physical demands:
•    May require lifting, pulling and carrying up to forty (40) pounds.
•    Frequent bending, walking, climbing stairs, pulling, pushing and reaching overhead.
•    Standing and / or other active work for up to ten (8) hours per day.  Sitting up to four (8) hours per day, or a combination of sitting and standing.

Travel:
•    May require some travel.
