Job Summary:

The Inventory Material Clerk identifies, controls, segregates, and maintains all parts used by the repair station on a daily basis.

Job Functions: 

  • Controls and distributes the repair station and Aftermarket inventory.
  • Ensures the preservation of all articles or parts, and executes specified shelf life requirements, by ensuring that items such as o-rings, hoses, gaskets, etc. are properly identified with cure data upon receipt.  When items have expired cure dates, ensure those expired items are removed to a secure area pending disposal.
  • Provides material management information by entering inventory data into the computer system.
  • Ensures all necessary inventory documentation is completed as defined by the Repair Station and Quality Manual.
  • Contributes to the repair station team effort by maintaining a positive attitude. 
  • Requires dependability in attendance, ability to work independently, handle change, stay focused under pressure, and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Displays initiative in tackling problems and overcoming obstacles, seeks new responsibilities, generates new ideas and alternative solutions.
  • Possesses good listening skills, an ability to accept constructive criticism, be flexible and open-minded, maintain good peer relations and be responsive to customer needs. 
  • Understands job duties and responsibilities
  • Helps to achieve department productivity goals by establishing priorities, using good time management, completion of paperwork in a timely and professional manner, and being attentive to detail and accuracy. 
  • Contributes to team projects by exchanging ideas and options, work well with other departments, and develop positive working relationships.
  • Keeps workplace safe and clean.
  • Reference the Repair Station and Quality Manual for additional duties, responsibilities, and authority. 



  • Read, write legibly and understand English
  • Perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply and divide) 
  • Recognize and distinguish yellow, red and blue tags
  • Computer (perform data entry, open and close files)
  • Understand basic terminolgy used in the job functional area
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexibility with changes in work requirements
  • Ability to stay focused and meet deadlines, which may require overtime
  • Attention to detail

Required Education, Certification and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minumum years of experience required: 5 years with material control activites in a manufacturing/assembly environment 

Typical Physical Demands: Work may require lifting, pulling and carrying up to 40lbs; frequent bending, climbing stairs, and reaching; sitting, standing up frequently; this position requires acceptable vision with corrective lenses and legible handwriting
