Triumph Systems & Support – Clemmons is seeking candidates for a Quality Engineer Internship. This internship will provide a college-level student with practical experience related to his or her major in an engineering (e.g., industrial, manufacturing) field that will enhance and complement their classroom learning.


The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent mechanical, analytical, and problem solving skills. They should have good writing ability and must be self-motivated with good interpersonal and team skills. Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications, ability to design and build tooling are all exceptional qualities. Candidate will work alongside fellow quality engineers across multiple disciplines and on many different tasks.

Primary responsibilities for this position may include:

  • Assist quality engineers with improvements to productivity performance by reducing waste and improving the processing for units.
  • Improve quality performance by eliminating variation in the process.
  • Provide technical support for units that don't achieve acceptable test results.
  • Assist on corrective action activities to support our quality requirements for our products.
  • Perform technical writing. Perform data entry, scanning, and organizing documentation in electronic folders.
  • Perform gage studies on parts.
  • Support actions for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Perform Lean and 5S activities.
  • Perform process improvements.
  • Perform other tasks as required or assigned.


  • Qualified candidates must be in their Junior or Senior Year, with a minimum GPA of 3.0, pursuing an Advanced Technical Degree (B.S. or equivalent) in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering. Master’s degree candidates are also welcomed to apply.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization.
