Responsibilities

Summary
Triumph Actuation Systems – Clemmons is seeking candidates for a Quality Engineer Internship. This
internship will provide a college-level student with practical experience related to his or her major in an
engineering (e.g., industrial, manufacturing) field that will enhance and complement their classroom
learning.

The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving
skills. The candidate will work alongside fellow quality engineers across multiple disciplines, on many
different tasks.
Job Requirements
 Qualified candidates must be in their Junior or Senior Year, with a minimum GPA of 3.0,
pursuing an Advanced Technical Degree (B.S. or equivalent) in Industrial, Mechanical, or
Manufacturing Engineering. Master’s degree candidates are also welcomed to apply.
 Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated fluency in English.
 Have the ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and specifications
 Skills with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
 Ability to organize and implement multiple concurrent tasks.
 Procedural and technical writing ability
 Ability to work in a team environment
 Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
 Steel toed/safety shoes will be provided
Description:
Summer internship in the Triumph – Clemmons quality department, which will include rotations thru the
Quality Engineering, Quality Systems, and Quality Inspection departments.

Qualifications

Duties/Responsibilities
 Assist quality engineers with improvements to productivity performance by reducing waste and
improving processes.
 Provide technical and investigation support for units that don’t achieve acceptable test results.
 Assist with determining liability on returned products from customers.
 Assist on corrective action activities to support our quality requirements.
 Assist in technical/procedure writing and revisions.
 Assist with the disposition of non-conforming product and Material Review Board (MRB)
reviews.
 Participate in internal audits.
 Perform data entry, scanning and organizing documentation in electronic folders.
 Participate and apply elements of APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) throughout the
organization.
 Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies on parts.
 Support actions for root case analysis and corrective actions
 Perform continuous improvement (LEAN) and 5S activities.
 Other activites may be assigned, as required, and depending on demonstrated capability.
