Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading and coordinating activities related to the assembly, manufacturing and test processes as they relate to Triumph Actuation Systems products.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Proficient with the use of CREO/Pro E CAD software and working with part models, drawings and complex assemblies.
  2. Understanding of Fixture and Tooling Design required to support assembly, test and processes.
  3. Familiar with creating Standard Work (WIs), Process and Assembly Instructions, and Operation Steps (Routings). 
  4. Familiar with commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the machining / fabrication environment. Understands dimensional tolerancing the ability to assess product drawings for manufacturability.
  5. Understands and applies manufacturing techniques such as SPC, 5S, Demand-Pull, PFEMA, KAN-BAN, Gage R&R, Six Sigma, GD&T and Lean concepts.
  6. Responds promptly to process improvements by utilizing troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques along with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. Supports Assembly and Test requirements among all manufacturing disciplines; Design Engineering, Production, Planning, Assembly, Testing, Shop Floor and Quality to meet customer production schedules.
  8. Familiar with manual and automated machines that test product for acceptance.
  9. Has knowledge of hydraulic valves, linear actuators, motors and pumps.
  10. Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive attitude.
  11. Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements.
  12. Other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met.

 

Physical Requirements: Work may require sitting up to eight (8) hours per day, standing up to eight (8) hours per day, writing, extended work hours as needed and very little travel.

 

Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

 

Experience Preference: Five (5) years as a manufacturing engineer with a strong technical background in assembly and test environment.
