Position Profile: Associate Procurement Analyst
FLSA: Exempt
Reports to: Manager, Procurement

Summary  
The Associate Procurement Analyst will procure component parts and assemblies to ensure the uninterrupted flow of production while maintaining Company goals related to quality, delivery, costs, and inventory levels. In this role, you should have a customer focused mindset and a strong business acumen. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.

Essential Functions
•    Manages supply chain activities with assigned suppliers for the procurement of complex and simple machined parts, standard hardware and / or source-controlled items through the procurement process to final delivery of product ensuring cost, delivery, and quality objectives are achieved.  
•    Administers proposals and contracts to maximize service while minimizing cost. 
•    Supports Procurement goals by issuing RFP/RFQs.
•    Participates in assigned Project teams in order to support operational goals and business needs
•    Serves as a liaison between Production and suppliers.  Any variances require the ability to act based on production priorities and communicate any variance to all affected internal parties.
•    Participates in regular supplier reviews with all assigned suppliers.  Assist suppliers with improvement plans when quality, delivery, or cost concerns are identified.
•    Facilitates Procurement process by issuing purchase orders and amendments in accordance with production requirements and inventory goals.  Responsible for responding and reacting to internal schedule changes, communicating to the Supply Chain these changes, and supporting escalation or downgrade to the current production schedule with external suppliers immediately.
•    Schedules regular outreach to assigned suppliers to ensure delivery schedule compliance.
•    Reviews all data utilized for developing the various purchasing metrics to ensure the accuracy and integrity of each metric.
•    Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive outlook.
•    Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements
•    Performs other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met 

Competencies
•    Excellent verbal and written communications in English.
•    Previous exposure to Supply Chain or Operations through coursework or internship
•    Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g., Inventory planning, warehouse management)
•    Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases, and ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Infor)
•    Intermediate Excel experience is a plus
•    Analytical mind with business acumen
•    Problem-solving aptitude
•    Attention to detail
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Outstanding organizational ability

Qualifications

Supervisory responsibility
The Associate Procurement Analyst role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Required education, certification, and experience
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business or similar field of study; or equivalent experience
•    Major in Supply Chain or Operations or one year of Supply Chain/Purchasing/Logistics experience is a plus

Physical demands 
•    May require lifting, carrying, and pulling up to twenty (20) pounds.
•    Up to eight (8) hours per day, or a combination of sitting and standing. 

Travel
Up to 5% travel
