The Corporate Staff Accountant is a key team member of the Corporate Accounting function and will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, including preparing journal entries for key business processes within Triumph’s corporate function.  The successful candidate will also collect pertinent information for third party audits, prepare account reconciliations, and perform and document financial analysis of monthly results, and will be a point of contact for accounting issues. We hope to grow this candidate into future rolls and responsibilities within Triumph over time.

Responsibilities

  • Follow our company’s established accounting processes
  • Interface with operating company finance teams on various corporate reporting matters
  • Implement automation and process improvements with regard to Corporate financial reporting processes and internal controls
  • Assist the controller with review of aged and at-risk accounts receivable for the entire enterprise
  • Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
  • Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions
  • Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals and logs
  • Perform financial statement trend analysis and explanations regarding the Corporate office’s financial results
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors
  • Assist with other special projects that arise in the corporate accounting function

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA a plus, candidate will be supported if CPA obtained post-employment)
  • 2 years’ experience in audit or accounting
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports
  • Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
