Position Description

As a Manager of Information Technology, you will lead innovative IT strategies and solutions to drive our organization's success. You will oversee technology operations, manage a talented IT team, including the Infrastructure and End User Computing groups, and ensure seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies. Your expertise will be key in enhancing our IT infrastructure and supporting our mission to excel in the digital age, reporting directly to the Director, Service Delivery.

Responsibilities

- Oversee the Infrastructure and End User Computing team’s daily operations and provide strategic direction for technology initiatives.

- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data security, system integrity and reliability.

- Manage IT budgets, forecasts, purchasing and resource allocation to optimize cost-efficiency and productivity.

- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and fostering professional growth.

- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address technology needs and support business objectives.

- Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure, including workstations, servers, email, and software applications.

- Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of all IT systems, including servers, workstations, desktop applications, and hardware.

- Conduct regular assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of IT systems and implement improvements as needed.

- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of IT services.

- Stay updated on emerging technology trends and assess their potential benefits for the organization.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, such as FAR/DFARS, Export Control, or GDPR.

- Coordinate disaster recovery planning and business continuity efforts to minimize downtime and data loss.

- Facilitate training and support for end-users to maximize the efficient use of technology resources.

- Communicate timely status updates (both verbal and written) to team members and management.

- Experience with managing work using a service desk ticket system.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a related role.

- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.

- Experience integrating cloud solutions, developing cloud strategy/roadmap for Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) platforms.

- Strong experience in Windows Server, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file servers.

- Experience with infrastructure to include virtual hardware, Microsoft Windows, and Linux platforms.

- Prior experience in the aerospace, manufacturing, or another highly regulated industry is a plus.

- Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and ‘attention to detail’ skills.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set/manage priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities using project management and IT Service Management systems.

- Ability to influence people at all levels.

- Proven experience in managing IT teams and projects.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Some travel will be required for the purpose of meeting with site personnel, management, and other stakeholders.

- Some evening and weekend work will be required.
