Summary

We partner with key manufacturers to produce crucial components, systems and subsystems required to help maintain a competitive and technological advantage. We provide design, development and support of internally designed components, subsystems and systems, as well as production of complex assemblies using external designs. 
 
The Logistics Manager will be based remotely and will have Supply Chain responsibility for all Triumph Group Logistics and Transport
 
The Manager will provide leadership in achieving Triumph Group business objectives through effective management and execution of a logistics strategy that creates a discriminating competitive advantage for the Company

Responsibilities

•    Focus on ensuring all networks are operating efficiently and develop mitigation strategies to avoid plant supply chain disruption. 
•    Collaborate with numerous logistics providers including but not limited to: FedEx, UPS, DHL and various Expeditors.
•    Design/Enhance asset tracking and optimization via strategic modeling guidance, focusing on business profitability and overall compliance.
•    As required, define the Strategy for inbound and outbound logistics, including the negotiation and execution of long-term agreements
•    Lead, implement, and drive positive and effective initiatives across the business by deploying common processes / standard work, practices and tools to minimize redundant expenditures to drive profitability via management of central support logistics projects.
•    Analyze current asset performance and drive improvements in freight rates, logistics income, and drive improvements in inbound/outbound networks to optimize product freight cost.
•    Support optimization by identifying opportunities to leverage available assets within company or customer delivery footprint.
•    Build and maintain positive and effective relationships among external and internal stakeholders including: Transportation Providers, Suppliers, Operations, Replenishment, and External Customers
•    Identify issues that are barriers to logistics freight management and/or a negative influence on freight income as well as areas to optimize supply chain and drive to resolution and implementation.
•    Cultivate strategic alliances / relationships with participants across the Triumph business
•    Ensure compliance to industry leading standards of ethical conduct.
•    Travel (5-15%), as needed.
•    Position reports functionally to the Director, Strategic Sourcing

Qualifications

•    BS/BA degree 
•    5-10 years of international logistics experience. 
•    Strong supplier relationship management skills displayed through internal network
•    Timely decision making with limited information (ambiguity), autonomy, strong communication skills, ability to manage cross functionally at all levels both internally and externally.
•    This is a technical high-pressure job. Decisions may need to be made with limited information so an ability to manage complex information under pressure is essential. 
•    An understanding of road, rail, intercontinental and expedite networks is required.
