TRIUMPH ACTUATION PRODUCTS AND SERVICES (APS) provides design, manufacturing and MRO services for products and systems that include hydraulic pumps and motors, actuators, fuses, accumulators, valves and manifolds, and carrier launched aircraft holdback bars. They also provide design, manufacturing, and support solutions for highly engineered mechanical and electromechanical controls and components.

 

APS maintains a unique capability for systems engineering and integration, as well as hydromechanical and electronics in-house development. APS serves as the integration focal for TRIUMPH, specializing in motion, control and power systems for commercial, military and rotorcraft aircraft.

About the Job

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Seattle. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions of Role:
 

1)    Perform detailed circuit design and development including analysis, simulation, and PCB layout oversight to convert your ideas into physical hardware.
2)    Perform initial bring-up of new circuit board designs and perform detailed verification, integration, and troubleshooting to ensure designs are functioning as intended.
3)    Must be a self-starter willing to learn and take on new challenges.
4)    Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
5)    Familiarity with electronics simulation software such as but not limited to LTspice or PSpice preferred.
6)    Familiarity with Altium design environment preferred.
7)    Analog design, mixed signal design, power supply design, or digital design experience preferred
8)    Provide support to identify root cause for failures and manage the rework of hardware during development test 
9)    Support customer facing reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc)
10)    Prepare technical documentation as well as design review materials
11)    Collaborate with system-level, hardware and software design engineers to develop designs on aggressive time schedules
12)    Design tasks include system level requirements analysis, sub-system/CCA/LRU level requirements development, conceptual design, preliminary design, and detailed design through Qualification and transition to production.
13)    Analysis tasks include detailed circuit/cable/chassis modeling, simulation and analysis to verify electrical and mechanical design against the applicable system requirements.
14)    Analyzing and interpreting circuit schematics, PCB layouts, engineering drawings, bills of material, cable harnesses, wiring schematics, interface diagrams, layout drawings, and mechanical drawings
15)    Evaluating the EMC/EMI performance of electrical and electronic systems.
16)    Collaborate with Systems, EE, and ME engineering to develop and implement hardware design, improvements and solutions to comply with the applicable system requirements.
17)    Support program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions
18)    Prepare EMI Test Plan and EMC Control Plan/Procedure.
19)    Support EMC/EMI testing in a laboratory setting using and understanding the variety of EMI, RF, and electronics test equipment typically used in these types of tests.

Qualifications


1)    15+ years’ experience
2)    Previous work experience with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD- 464, DO-160 or similar standards.
3)    Previous experience with SPICE simulation software. Working experience with Electromagnetic Simulation software, i.e. CST Simulation and Ansys HFSS is a plus
4)    Altium
5)    Strong communication skills
6)    Power electronics or motor controls or actuation systems, electric machine drives 
7)   Minimum Education Level - BSEE

Salary Range: $128,500.00 - $192,700.00
